It is not a doubt that everyone remembers the events of September 11, 2001. The fateful day when thousands of Americans were killed by the terrorists that attacked the United States of America. Seven years ago, on September 11, 2001 when the first plane hit the World Trade Center it was immediately broadcast on every national television station around the country, and had a large impact on everyone. The men and women of the FDNY and NYPD were among the bravest people that day. These men and women were expected to rush in and try to help the people inside when everyone else was running for cover. We will never forget the 343 men and women that died in this tragic event. Now, seven years later, is when we need to take time out of our schedules and remember all that lost their lives that day.

Gathered at the flag pole in front of Station 40, Shoemakersville, Pa Co. 61 and Co. 40 reflected back on the events of that tragic day by reading various poems, the Fireman's Prayer, and an excerpt from a speech made by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani to the United Nations discussing the condition of the City of New York after the event.

The event was unfortunately planned at the last minute, making advertising very hard. It is the intent of Co. 40 to keep the event going on an annual basis, look for the event to take place next September 11.

REMEMBER THE 343 EMERGENCY RESPONDERS THAT GAVE THEIR LIFE ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 TO HELP SAVE OTHERS.
