AFA Upgraded at Hamburg High School

Co 61 and 77 were Dispatched to the Hamburg High School for a Automatic Fire Alarm. Lt. 61(Emes) Responded, and was given the additional of a General Alarm. Berks then advised that Hamburg Pd was on scene and reporting smoke in the building, then Sending the Structure Assignment to the Borough (Ladder 33, Co 40, Co 41 for the Safety). Lt.61 arrived on location and reported nothing showing with visual and audible alarms sounding. Engine 61-1 arrived, and crews began stretching a dry line to the cafe area of the school where staff were directing crews to. Crews from E61-1 were able to locate a bad light Fixture in the ceiling area that had shorted out causing the minor smoke condition in the School. Crews from the remaining companies then stood by at various hydrants/ staging area due to School Busses that were arriving for the start of school for the day. Crews reset the alarm before the incident was placed under control, by command. TICs from Hamburg and Virgenville were used to check the area for any other signs of fire however nothing was found. All Companies and cleared the call a short time later.
