Rescue Engine 61 1st Mutual Aid Call
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
-
The new Engine is making history already as it is in the running for the longest mutual aid call to South Carolina. A brush fire erupted behind the American LaFrance Building and was found by their head of security. The new Engine was quickly put into service to extinguish the flames before the first due company for that area arrived. War Wagon II is making a statement before it even arrives in the 61 House!

FINAL INSPECTION
Saturday, March 6, 2010
-
After much anticipation, this past week Chief Engineer Hartman and Lieutenant/Treasurer Thren made the long trek to South Carolina to see the New Rescue/Engine for the first time. It has finally become a reality as the final inspection for the engine was completed. With very few adjustments needed, the engine will be heading to Muncy, PA to Campbell Supplies in the coming week for last minute details to be finalized. We are anticipating delivery within the next couple of weeks. The long wait has certainly paid off!!

We would like to thank American La France for the superb hospitality on the trip!

NEW ENGINE TO BE BUILT BY AMERICAN LAFRANCE

Friday, February 22, 2008
-
The Hamburg Fire Company is excited to announce that we have begun the process to have American LaFrance build our new engine. The new engine will replace the 1980 Hahn which has served the community well for the past 28 years.
The 1980 Hahn (Engine 61-1) will be retained by the company, but will be relegated to reserve status and will only be used on larger fires which would require the use of an additional engine.
More info to be posted about the new engine in the near future.
